Fossick is a read-only companion for people who collect NFT art. It works from a public wallet address that you type in. It has no accounts, no login, no wallet connection, and never asks for a private key, seed phrase or signature.

What Fossick processes

  • Wallet address. The public blockchain address you enter. It is sent to public block explorers (Blockscout) and to Fossick’s own servers to read which NFTs the address holds. Fossick treats it as personal data because it can identify you if you have linked it to your identity elsewhere.
  • Holdings and taste profile. The collections the address holds are recorded against that address on Fossick’s recommendation server, so that artists can be suggested to you and to other collectors with similar holdings.
  • Feedback. When you tap “More like this”, that preference is stored against the address on the recommendation server. “Not for me” is stored only on your device.
  • Cached data on your device. The last address you entered, a 24-hour cache of your collection and suggestions, cached market readings, your artist set-aside list and one display preference are stored in the app’s private storage on your phone.

Where data goes

  • Blockscout (public block explorers, one per network) receives the wallet address to list holdings and transfers.
  • Fossick’s own servers (*.bitbot.com.au), operated by the publisher in Australia, receive the wallet address, holdings and feedback. The API proxy also passes collection and wallet lookups on to Alchemy and OpenSea on the app’s behalf; the app itself holds no vendor keys.
  • Image hosts (OpenSea’s and Alchemy’s content networks and collection metadata hosts) receive requests for artwork images. Those requests contain the artwork identifier, not your address.
  • Marketplace and wallet apps. Tapping a marketplace link opens OpenSea, a wallet app or your browser. What happens there is governed by their policies.

Fossick contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs and does not sell or share personal data for advertising.

Server logs. Fossick’s servers keep ordinary web-server access logs (IP address, request path, time) for security and operations.

Delete your data

Open Fossick, tap the shield icon (Privacy) and choose Delete everything. This removes the remembered address and cached collection from your phone and deletes the taste profile and feedback stored for that address on Fossick’s recommendation server. The app confirms whether the server deletion succeeded. Your artist set-aside list and display preference stay on the device until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall.

If you cannot use the app, email support@bitbot.com.au with the wallet address and we will delete the server-side profile within 14 days. Public blockchain data and the collection catalogue itself are not personal data and are not affected.

Children. Fossick is intended for adults (18 and over) and is not directed at children.

Changes. We will post changes to this page and update the effective date.
